Well, we're still here and stilllllll moving forward...lol

 With both of the bedrooms finished upstairs, things have become so much better for both of us...we can spread out and relax a little now...and sleeping for me is a joy now...sleeping in this horrible navy blue bedroom was soooo depressing.   We had thought that the entire ceiling was going to need all new drywall, but my favorite handyman discovered a trick and it worked beautifully! 

The trick is fender washers....you can see a while row of them here...and of course, you have to have something to screw them into....they "pull" the existing sheet of drywall UP!....lol....needless to say, he worked his magic on this room bigtime!!

Our spare couch that was shuttled back and forth to the bedrooms upstairs is now being shuttled back and forth IN THE DOORWAY between the office and sewing room....lol

And the mudman works his magic....;-)

Until finally the navy blue room is no more....;-)

It still may have to painted one more coat....but this was taken just as he finished the texturing and it was still very wet.

And while he was texturing and mudding,  I was papering!!

What a joy!!  This is my sewing room, so I can make it anything I want it to be and I just LOVE  hunter green striped wallpaper...I was fortunate to find a beautiful flower print to go with it.  The rest of the house might be pristine white, but my sewing room reflects me...BOLD & GREEN & SOFT & FLOWERY....that's me!!  ;-)

AHA!!  BUSTED!!  I caught him taking a computer game break...lol....he does this more than the pictures show..lol

Finally, our spare sofa has a home...it's very happy and we are too!!  lol

We got busy and set in a new walkway from the front porch.  Up until now, it was just mud with some doormats thrown over it....the weather  just hasn't been nice enough to really get out and work on it...but this week we had about 3 really nice warm days....I had to make a quick run to Lowe's, but we got it done.  ;-)

Mortar and water did the trick....

I'm flying to Texas in the morning to see my children and grandbabies for the first time in a year.....goodness only knows what surprises my adorable handyman will have for me when I return in 10 days....;-)  Expect to see a new page around the 15th.
