Four weeks into this project we see that the garage door framework has been replaced with new wood and painted....

and the garage door got it's first coat of paint in probably 20 years....it still needs a couple more, but the improvement is incredible....lol....the family who lived here tell us that the door hasn't been closed in at least 17 years....(the age of the oldest child who lived here).

This past weekend, I worked on organizing things just a bit and cleaned up the upstairs real well.  Now, you can actually walk allllll the way through the back two rooms of the house....the boxes are back out of the floor and somewhat organized....I haven't unpacked much....it seemed like the more I unpacked the worse things got, so I stopped last week.

and all the "sawed through" beams in the kitchen ceiling have been reinforced with new 2" X 6" planks....now we can feel a little more confident about setting up the waterbed above the kitchen....;-)

Stay tuned, Karyla and I are going to get Bruce tonight and he'll be here the rest of the week and we'll see some HUGE improvements in the kitchen and upstairs....;-)
