Happy New Year and

The Beat Goes On....;-)

Under the stairs is where our "network" is located... Michael had to get it all wired in for tv, cable modem and telephones before we could move the computer desks and computers.

My little "techie" did a great job!!!  ;-)

Finally, on New Year's Eve we got to move into the new office...;-)

As usual, I was chomping at the bit to get it done....lol

Michael's computer desk is low key and simple because he will also have multiple computers in his workshop as well as one in his bedroom upstairs....this one is just an extra....in addition, his 21" monitor doesn't fit very well here, so it will be moved to his desk upstairs and he will use a flat screen monitor on this desk to give him more room.

We really like being able to sit and talk at our desks...;-)

I finally got my desk set up....;-)

Still a few more things to be added, but done for the most part.

On the first Saturday in January, Jimmy, William and Michael brought home our new Jacuzzi bathtub for the master bathroom upstairs.

It's just gorgeous, large enough for two and even has a light in the bottom....lol

None of the walls upstairs have been finished yet, so it will still be awhile before the tub is installed, but at least it's here now....;-)

With the office done, we were able to empty the room Michael will use for his workshop...it still needs new drywall on the ceiling, some repair of the existing drywall and texturing, but he got his workbench built and he will have tons of room!  He never lets anything go to waste...the countertop is actually the old backsplash and a leftover cabinet from the set of kitchen cabinets we bought!!  He also had a "little incident" today....his drill bit broke and he drove the broken bit into his finger....:-(  He was pretty sore for a couple of days but is healing very well now.

And he covered the back side of my desk with luan left over from the kitchen floor.
