"Potpourri"

This is a story of two little boys messing with a woodpile rumored to have skunks under it....lol.....

They had to get the tarps off of it...first one....

then the second one.....

and while they never saw anything black and white...

they were still verrrrrrrrrrrrrry cautious....lol

They decided that there was nothing under the woodpile, but best you not mess with it, lest you be stinky for weeks!!  lol

This was one evening when we had finally moved in and Michael had the garage as cleaned up as he could get it for the moment....;-)

This was our first dumpster...we'll have to have another one, but this one held quite alot of all the remnants removed from the house.

This was the night we finally got our first washer and dryer since we have been together....it was a momentous occasion!!

We bought them used from a guy who sells trade-ins as a hobby...he assured us that they were in top running condition.  We got them plumbed and wired 3 days later and ran the first load and the washer leaked so bad that Michael thought there was something wrong with the plumbing because water was pouring from the floor joists.....lololol

We called the guy and he came over the very next day and repaired it....it was just out of balance from traveling and they both work  great now!!

Here's an unfinished story....when we first moved in, the space between the garage and the house looked like this.....

This "bush, tree, shrub or whatever it is/was had grown into the garage and taken over...Michael chopped it down once and then about two weeks later,  Bruce and Michael chopped it to the ground again....and of course it came back again.....SO, I checked the Farmer's Almanac online and found that the perfect date for pruning to stunt growth was on the night of August 11th....so here he goes again...he poured weed killer on it when he was done chopping it down this time.

In this shot you see all the other junk he drug out of the garage in the big clean up... thank goodness the garbage man comes on Thursday....lol

Only time will tell, but we sure hope it doesn't come back again...lol

We bought this from a guy I work with and will be moving it into the house in about 2 weeks! Beautiful!

We had a little visitor one night after cooking out....he was just looking for an old leftover hamburger and all he got were Bruce's empty beer cans...lol
